I am an undergraduate research assistant studying the microstructure of Phenolic Impregnated Carbon Ablator (PICA) using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Focused Ion Beam SEM (FIB-SEM), and image processing tools such as Avizo. My work focuses on reconstructing 3D resin fiber distributions to better understand PICA’s nonlinear compression behavior.
In the past, I have also worked on flow tube testing and carbon–carbon composite analysis.
