Robbie Harper

Graduate Research Assistant

I am an incoming PhD graduate student in Mechanical Engineering and will start working on the computational projects in the CTFL laboratory in Fall 2025.

In the past, I have explored condensed matter and nuclear physics research, developing Monte Carlo simulations for quantum calorimeters and superconducting detectors for particle detection applications. Additionally, I have contributed to physics education through tutoring and mentoring, as well as data analysis projects in sports analytics. My research interests also extend to interdisciplinary applications of computational modeling.

My extracurricular activities include playing guitar, writing music, and learning Chinese culture and language through TV and film.

Ph.D., Mechanical Engineering: University of Kentucky (2025 - Present).

B.S., Physics & Chinese: Centre College (2021 - 2025).
